Happy Easter 2012

Always a special time of year, especially for decorative baking.
Simple chocolate and yellow cupcakes, done in Spring pastel colors. Chocolate bunny and egg jelly beans on top, or a little birds nest with dyed coconut.

Always enjoy doing these. A Christmas gingerbread house, done up as a "Bunny Hut". Sour patch jelly beans on the roof, with Peeps bunnies looking to get in.
For those who can't enjoy the sugary sweet fare, here are sugar-free cupcakes, yellow and chocolate, with sugar free cream cheese icing, topped with fresh blackberries and sugar-free compote.
Finally, the archetypical Easter Lamb cake, made from lemon pound cake. Covered in buttercream and coconut, with dyed coconut, chocolate pieces and jelly beans around the base.

Happy 60th

Happy 60th Anniversary for my mom and dad. This is a yellow cake, with butter cream icing, edible photos, and gum paste orchids. The Orchids steal the show (Dave did them).

Dave's First Masterpiece

Dave's first Masterpiece. Hand made gumpaste orchids, and a basket weave buttercream icing. The flowers look like they were just picked from the plant.
