Happy Anniversary

Celebrating their 60th Anniversary, our Deacon and his wife allowed us the opportunity to help in the celebration. To that end we made these cakes.

A triad of cakes. To include a family cake to take home. All cakes have over 4 dozen hand-made fondant red roses.

This rectangle cake is done as a white cake with a lemon curd filling.

This rectangle cake is done as a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling.

The family cake is a totally symbolic piece. It is done as a marble cake (to represent the blending of different flavors) with 5 roses on top. One for each parent and one for each of their three children. The decorating design is taken from the topper on the original wedding cake 60 years ago.

The source of inspiration for this cake came from the following verse:

A Baker’s Verse of Love and Family

Two different flavors,

Sweet and light, dark and stout,

Baked in the oven of time,

Blended flavors grew throughout.

No longer a single taste,

But something rich and new,

A perfect, slow-cooked harmony,

A life forever with you.

Family is a recipe made with faith and love,

Different hearts and blending flavors come to prove,

The sweetest batches come from varied flavors,

Baked slowly together by the warmth of God’s favors.

Thank You Sandy

Sandy, the ministry dog, has spent her whole life in service to others. This was a chance for the community to show her how  much her work mattered.

This cake is dog friendly. A treat for Sandy on her retirement.

Of course Sandy needed a cake to share with her human family, so this one done as a chocolate cake (a no-no for dogs) with raspberry filling

The Last Supper

Done for lunch after the service on Palm Sunday. The technique here is a stencil.

Thank you Volunteers

St Andrew's Church wanted to thank its volunteers so it asked us to provide cakes with an Oscar Award theme. In this photo, Oscar is made from white chocolate.
