A Thank You

No pics on this post, but I just wanted to take a second to thank Kate, our Wilton instructor. Through all of my courses she has been infinitely patient, continuously positive, and always practical. Kate has taken the time to answer questions out of class, and freely shared her wealth of experience. If anyone has the opportunity to take the Wilton classes in Boynton Beach, Kate comes very highly recommended.

Wedding Cake

This Beach Themed cake was done for some very close friends. The shells are made of white chocolate, hand painted and brushed with pearl dust.

Class Project

This cake was done as a class project to demonstrate the use of gum paste flowers. Only had about 40 minutes to assemble it, so I'm not really happy with the product, though the flowers turned out well.

Just a project for the last course. The bows came out much more realistic with a new technique.

Easter Time

All different varieties of special Easter treats. A large 6" Bunny with a basket and eggs, to small 3" pieces and chocolate suckers. There is also a 3-D piece which is a bunny standing next to a basket of jelly beans (beans are not in this photo). The pieces here are made with dark, white and colored chocolate.

Some Comfort Food

Some "feel good" comfort food for a good friend. Chocolate fudge cake with fudge-buttercream icing and shaved almonds.

Mermaid

This cake was done for a little girls birthday. It was a sheet cake in the form of the ocean, with colored chocolate sea creatures, and a mermaid sitting on a cake "rock".
